After Effects Rotoscope Practice

This is another After Effects practice project that I created that involved many new tools and features within the software. Firstly, the focus was the rotoscope tool, and it basically allows to create masks within specific subjects in a video and isolate it as its own layer. This video shows a guy walking on the side walk and crossing the street. So for practice, we isolated the man walking by using the rotoscope tool and placing text behind the subject. This created a decent looking mask, and you are able to see that the subject is isolated as its own layer and that the text wraps nicely behind him. Once that After Effects file was completed, I then imported the video into Premiere Pro to colour grade for fun.
Here is the After Effects version of the file, without colour grading or any lighting touch up.
